You could probably call me a serial creative. Starting with music at a very young age, I have always sought to embrace the artistic process in all its forms. When I started macrame around 3 years before establishing Silver & Thread, I instantly fell in love with the process and the potential for what I could create.
In August 2021, I was coming to the end of a degree in anthropology and considering my next move into a career, and like many people, the covid-19 pandemic caused me to re-think my priorities in my work life. Seeking an income that could be made from home, the freedom to plan my own schedule and a work life that I could be passionate about, I made the decision to go self-employed, turning creativity into a career. I aim to produce modern and beautiful macrame pieces that customers can truly cherish.
I am very enthusiastic about ethical living and using sustainable materials in my work, incorporating recycled and repurposed materials into many pieces. Read more about Silver & Thread’s approach to sustainability in the ethos section. All items are lovingly handcrafted by myself, meaning I can almost always provide custom options if required. If you’d prefer something in an unlisted colour, a different size, or an entirely custom commission piece, please do get in touch on my contact form.
Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy browsing the website, and my products, as much as I enjoy creating them!
